In the United States, a person is killed by the police every 7.4 hours. Around 705 people have already been killed this year alone. To put this into context, only 52 people have been killed by UK police in the last 100 years. In fact, Police in the US are 70 times more likely to kill someone, than their counterparts in other first world countries.

2014 – 1,101 people were killed by police
2015 – 1,207 people were killed by police
